The GDR Guadalhorce Valley offers a course on introduction to paragliding The course is part of an incentive programme in the Guadalhorce Valley, in collaboration with the Municipality of Valle de Abdalajís The Group of Desarrollo Rural Valle del Guadalhorce, in conjunction with the Ayuntamiento de Valle de Abdalajís, offers a course on introduction to paragliding whose application deadline is open until March 6 and whose delivery will take place in Valle de Abdalajís during Semana Santa. The course is part of a series of activities that the Grupo de Desarrollo Rural Valle del Guadalhorce and the Ayuntamiento de Valle de Abdalajís have undertaken to revitalize this area as an important place for practice flying within the Red de Espacios de Vuelo Libre de Andalucía (Network of Free Space Flight Andalucía). The course takes place as a prelude to the II Jornadas de Turismo Activo (2nd Meeting on Tourism Assets), in Valle de Abdalajís on the 12th and 13th April and will include activities not only of free flight, but also climbing, hiking, cycling routes, horse riding, and all kinds of sports in touch with nature. The requirements to participate in the course can be met easily: Having a desire to fly and you are in a normal physical condition, a minimum weight of 45 kg, 18 years or in the case of minors accompanied with the with the permission of parent or legal guardian. Seats are subsidized at 60%, so the student has to provide € 230. Valle de Abdalajís In the Guadalhorce Valley, the town of Valle de Abdalajís known as “Capital del Vuelo” is located south of the limestone mountain that bears his name. In this mountain there are two areas of takeoff. This allows the practice of flying wherever the wind blows, in addition to modifying the area so you can practice these sports. Close to Valle de Abdalajís is El Chorro, on the outskirts of Alora next to the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes, an area known internationally for climbers where along with the Sierra de Abdalajís is one of the best schools for climbing. The GDR Valle del Guadalhorce have organized activities to highlight this area, which is a magnet for lovers of sport and adventure tourism. |
